Other than equipment and technical aptitude, personality of shooter is the most vital. If you are a wallflower or consumed with not offending (me) you simple can't do well. I will say that when you don't know anyone being a good photog is much easier. Telling people to get to get together is much easier as is getting in the right spot. The thing that I found worked best for getting group photos was to say "the bride and groom requested a photo of you" people are generally happy to give the bride her wish at her reception even if they don't like their photos taken.Derek Nnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538609143839648236.post-16460066517610815222008-03-12T11:05:00.000-07:002008-03-12T11:05:00.000-07:002008-03-12T11:05:00.000-07:00It's a pleasure to stop by and read your blog, as ...It's a pleasure to stop by and read your blog, as always!

Thanks for sharing what you learned during the photosession at the wedding - I bet it will come in handy some day ;)

Take care!Christoffer Sandberghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17543171351370578743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1538609143839648236.post-11811344542575535462008-03-12T02:07:00.000-07:002008-03-12T02:07:00.000-07:002008-03-12T02:07:00.000-07:00Selling your soul to the devil there at the end? Although for a percentage, I'll be the assistant.

My one experience of wedding photography definitely left me glad that I wasn't the paid professional. I agree with your sentiment about the needs of a wedding photog. You need to not mind being the sore thumb stuck in everyones' faces.

Look forward to seen any other results. I'm sure if you say you got a few good ones then there will be a lot of great ones there.markhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02301054700071605151noreply@blogger.com
